Gilder Grasps Gainful Ground at No Nonsense Nationals
Lauren Gilder attended the Australian National Open Water championships at Kawana waters during April. She demolished her previous Personal best of 1 hour and 18 minutes to a mighty 1 hour and 9 minutes. This incredible journey lasting 5km was full of thrills, chills and spills as Lauren navigated the challenging flat water course at lake Kawana. The atmosphere was electric with the best swimmers from around Australia taking part in these championships. The swim to the finish line was a tense as Lauren had a girl from NSW right on her heels, Lauren managed to break away in the final 100m to cement her ranking of 28th in Australia. Lauren was quite pleased that there were no jellyfish to be found residing in the lake.
The club championships were a great sucess a big thank you to all of the people who helped to make this the best club championships ever!! For results of the night please check the results page.
